Ingredients

Scale

Whipped Feta Base

  • 8 oz block feta cheese
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 12 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 small garlic clove (optional)

Toppings

  • 3 tbsp honey, warmed
  • 1/4 cup pistachios, shelled and chopped
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper (optional)
  • Pinch of chili flakes or za’atar (optional)

To Serve

  • Crusty bread, pita, or crackers

Instructions

  1. Prepare Whipped Feta Base: Combine the feta cheese, softened cream cheese, olive oil, lemon juice, and optional garlic clove in a food processor.
  2. Blend Until Smooth: Blend the mixture until it is smooth and fluffy, stopping occasionally to scrape down the sides to ensure even mixing.
  3. Toast Pistachios: In a dry skillet over medium heat, toast the chopped pistachios for about 3–4 minutes or until fragrant, stirring frequently to avoid burning.
  4. Warm Honey: Slightly warm the honey to make it easier to drizzle over the dip without hardening.
  5. Assemble the Dip: Spread the whipped feta mixture evenly onto a serving plate or bowl.
  6. Add Toppings: Drizzle the warmed honey over the whipped feta, then sprinkle the toasted pistachios, dried cranberries, and optional seasonings like black pepper, chili flakes, or za’atar on top.
  7. Serve: Serve immediately alongside crusty bread, pita, or crackers for dipping.

Notes

  • For a more pronounced garlic flavor, finely mince the garlic before adding or omit if preferred.
  • Adjust lemon juice to taste for your preferred level of tanginess.
  • To keep the pistachios fresh and crunchy, toast them just before serving.
  • This dip is best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
  • Allow cream cheese to soften at room temperature for easier blending.
