Ingredients

Scale

Marinade:

  • ½ cup Kikkoman® Teriyaki Takumi, Korean BBQ
  • 1 tablespoon Kikkoman® Sesame Oil

Chicken Skewers:

  • pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts, cut into -inch pieces
  • Wooden or metal skewers
  • 2 small bell peppers, cut into -inch pieces
  • 1 medium red onion, cut into wedges
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Marinade: In a medium mixing bowl, combine teriyaki sauce with sesame oil. Stir well. Reserve 2 tablespoons for brushing.
  2. Marinate the Chicken: Add the chicken pieces to the bowl and toss to coat evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or up to 8 hours.
  3. Prepare the Skewers: If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning. Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto the skewers, alternating with pieces of bell pepper and red onion.
  4. Grill the Skewers: Grill the skewers for 10 to 12 minutes, turning every few minutes, until the chicken is fully cooked through and lightly charred. Brush with additional reserved sauce during the last few minutes of grilling.
  5. Serve: Remove the skewers from the grill. Sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  • Feel free to customize these skewers with your favorite vegetables like zucchini, mushrooms, or cherry tomatoes.
  • For a spicier kick, add a dash of sriracha or red pepper flakes to the marinade.
