Garlic Herb Compound Butter:
- 4 ounces (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
- 4–6 garlic cloves, pushed through a garlic press or grated on a zester
- 1 tablespoon fresh chives, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon fresh Italian parsley leaves, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary leaves, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves, finely chopped
- kosher salt, to taste
- 3/4 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
- Whip the Butter: Place the butter in the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment. Whip the butter to soften.
- Add Ingredients: Add the garlic, chives, parsley, rosemary, thyme, salt, and pepper. Blend thoroughly, scraping the bowl as needed.
- Adjust Seasoning: Taste for seasoning and adjust salt, pepper, or herbs as desired.
- Shape the Butter: Lay out a piece of plastic wrap, then form the butter into a log shape on it.
- Wrap and Refrigerate: Roll the butter in the plastic wrap, refrigerate for at least an hour before using.
