These Oreo Football Truffles are a fun and festive treat perfect for game day or any celebration. Made by blending Oreo cookies with cream cheese, shaping them into footballs, and coating them with chocolate, these no-bake truffles are easy to make and delightfully rich. The finishing touch of white chocolate laces makes them look just like real footballs—an irresistible sweet snack for sports fans and dessert lovers alike.

Ingredients

Scale

Truffle Base

  • 1 (14.3 ounce) package Oreo cookies (33 cookies, not Thins or Double Stuffed)
  • 8 ounces brick-style full-fat cream cheese, softened

Chocolate Coating and Decoration

  • 16 ounces chocolate almond bark or chocolate melting wafers
  • 1/4 cup white chocolate or white candy melts

Instructions

  1. Crush Oreos: Use a food processor to blend the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs. If you don’t have a food processor, place the cookies in a zip-top bag and crush them with a rolling pin until finely ground.
  2. Mix with Cream Cheese: In a large bowl, combine the Oreo crumbs and softened cream cheese. Using an electric mixer, blend until the mixture is smooth and easy to roll without any lumps.
  3. Shape the Truffles: Scoop out 1-tablespoon portions of the mixture and roll them into oval shapes. Gently pinch the ends to create the shape of small footballs. Arrange the shaped truffles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Freeze to Firm Up: Place the shaped truffles in the freezer for 20 to 30 minutes to firm up, making them easier to dip in chocolate.
  5. Melt Chocolate Coating: While the truffles are chilling, melt the chocolate almond bark according to the package instructions until smooth.
  6. Dip Truffles in Chocolate: Remove the truffles from the freezer and dip each one into the melted chocolate. Allow the excess chocolate to drip off, then place the coated truffles back on the parchment-lined baking sheet to set.
  7. Decorate with White Chocolate: Melt the white chocolate or white candy melts and transfer to a piping bag or small zip-top bag with a tiny corner cut off. Pipe laces onto each truffle to resemble football stitching.
  8. Set and Serve: Let the decorated truffles sit at room temperature until the chocolate hardens. For faster setting, place them in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes. Once firm, the truffles are ready to serve.

Notes

  • Using full-fat cream cheese results in a smoother and richer truffle texture.
  • Be sure to freeze the truffles prior to dipping; this helps the chocolate coat evenly without melting the truffles.
  • Chocolate almond bark or melting wafers make dipping easier and create a shiny finish.
  • Store truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
  • For a fun variation, try drizzling with milk or dark chocolate instead of white chocolate laces.
