  • 100ml (7 tbsp) milk
  • 4 large eggs, separated
  • 70g (⅓ cup) granulated sugar
  • 40g (⅓ cup) cake flour, sifted

Ingredient Swaps & Additions:

Instructions

  1. Preheat & Prepare: Preheat oven to 160°C (320°F). Line cake pan with parchment and wrap with foil.
  2. Make the Base: Melt cream cheese, butter, and milk. Whisk in egg yolks.
  3. Add Dry Ingredients: Sift in cake flour and whisk gently.
  4. Whip the Egg Whites: Beat egg whites with sugar until stiff peaks form.
  5. Combine Gently: Fold meringue into batter.
  6. Bake in a Water Bath: Pour batter into pan, place in roasting pan with water. Bake, then let rest in oven.
