Ingredients

Scale

Special Sauce

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped dill pickles
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tsp white vinegar
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp onion powder

Wraps

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • ½ cup finely chopped onion
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Dill pickle slices (optional)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Special Sauce: In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, chopped dill pickles, yellow mustard, white vinegar, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir thoroughly until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Cover the bowl and refrigerate the sauce while you move on to the next steps.
  2. Cook the Beef: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onion and sauté until it softens and becomes translucent. Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up into crumbles as it cooks. Season with salt and pepper. Continue cooking until the beef is browned and fully cooked through. Drain any excess grease from the pan.
  3. Assemble the Wraps: Warm the flour tortillas slightly to make them more pliable for wrapping. Spread a generous layer of the prepared special sauce evenly over each tortilla. Add a portion of the cooked ground beef on top of the sauce. Layer shredded lettuce and shredded cheddar cheese over the beef. Add dill pickle slices if desired for extra tang.
  4. Wrap and Serve: Fold in the sides of each tortilla, then roll it tightly to form a wrap that holds all the fillings securely. Optionally, slice the wraps in half for easier handling. Serve immediately while warm and enjoy this flavorful handheld meal.

Notes

  • You can substitute ground turkey or chicken if you prefer a leaner meat option.
  • For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free tortillas instead of flour tortillas.
  • Adjust the seasoning in the special sauce to your taste, adding more mustard or vinegar for extra tang.
  • To keep wraps warm, wrap them in foil and place in a low oven (around 200°F) until ready to serve.
  • Adding diced tomatoes or onions to the wrap can add additional freshness and texture.
