Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon light soy sauce (or soy sauce)
  • 1 teaspoon dark soy sauce (or soy sauce)
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

Stir Fry:

  • 2 tablespoons peanut oil (or vegetable oil)
  • 1/2 white onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, sliced
  • 1 thumb ginger, sliced
  • 1 lb asparagus, tough ends removed and cut to bite-size pieces (or 1 bell pepper)

Instructions

  1. Marinate Beef: Add beef and marinating ingredients to a bowl, mix well, and set aside.
  2. Prepare Sauce: Combine all sauce ingredients in a small bowl.
  3. Cook Beef: Sear marinated beef in hot oil until golden, then transfer to a plate.
  4. Stir Fry: Cook onion, garlic, and ginger. Add asparagus and cook briefly.
  5. Add Sauce: Pour sauce into the pan, stir until thickened.
